Set GOALS, Not RESOLUTIONS for 2021

Mandi Franklin, CPNP

I never set resolutions. Why? They don’t work. They set you up for failure and disappointment.

Instead, I set goals.

Goals give us direction and motivate us.

Maybe your goal is to be more present, put down the electronics, have more family dinners, or to communicate better.

No goal is ever TOO small.

Here’s a friendly tip: set SMART goals- specific, measurable, action-based, realistic, and timely.

Oh- and don’t forget to write them down! You are 42% more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down. (Source: Dr. Gail Matthews, psychology professor).

What is a goal that you have for 2021?
