#NoMorePlaydates

Mandi Franklin, CPNP

While at work yesterday I started to realize that many people don’t totally understand the point of social distancing. Social distancing is staying away from PEOPLE. That means all people- friends, family, and neighbors. Obviously you will have contact with those in your house, but that should be it. Social distancing isn’t just staying away from malls, concerts, Target, and Walmart. Social distancing means staying away from restaurants and coffee shops. Social distancing means no neighborhood game of tag. Social distancing means no pool parties, house parties, or slumber parties. Bottom line- In order to slow the spread of COVID-19 we need to avoid contact with others. Worried about going stir crazy staying inside with your kids? Think about how terrified and helpless you’ll feel if you need to take your parent, child, or grandparent to the ER because you think they have COVID-19. Please spread the word. #NoMorePlaydates #flattenthecurve #socialdistancing #stayhome
