Daylight Saving Time: Change Those Clocks

Mandi Franklin, CPNP

Friendly reminder:

Daylight Saving Time is an exciting yet dreaded day for many families with young children. We lose an hour of sleep (yuck), but we get more sunlight at the end of the day (yay)! 🌞

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO HELP MY FAMILY ADJUST?

▪️My favorite approach: DO NOTHING. Don't make changes. Keep your sanity! After a few days, everyone will be well-adjusted

▪️Be consistent: Don't make too many changes, as children genuinely thrive on a consistent schedule (We all do!)

▪️Blackout curtains: The bright sunlight can interrupt sleep. A dark room can promote better sleep habits and longer sleep times.

Have more questions about this?

Good luck, and don't forget to change your clocks this weekend!!⏰
