Day 2 of Diabetes Awareness Month: My Continuous Glucose Monitor

Mandi Franklin, CPNP

This itty bitty device has saved my life on multiple occasions.

I wear it 24/7 and it provides so much more information than “just a blood sugar reading.”

It alerts me for highs, lows, and allows me to utilize the data to fine-tune my insulin needs and diabetes care.🩸

Last evening, I saw my blood sugar was dropping after taking a walk.

I treated appropriately, but since it was November 1st, I had a piece of Halloween candy, too...naturally 😂🍭
