American Academy of Pediatrics Updated School Recommendations

Mandi Franklin, CPNP

Updated: Aug 22, 2021

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has just released their 2021-2022 school recommendations during the COVID19 pandemic. They are recommending that students return to in-school learning (yay!), and are also encouraging all those eligible should be vaccinated against COVID19.

Regardless of vaccination status, students two years and older should wear a mask. This is to protect you, me, family, friends, and all of those around you.

Yes, children need social interaction, but safety is still a priority.

Cases and hospitalizations are going up. This worries me. The more we allow this virus to mutate, the harder it will be to gain control.

Please get vaccinated. Protect you and your loved ones.
